Critical Reception

Supernova received largely negative reviews from critics, who often criticized its predictable plot, derivative horror elements, and lackluster special effects. While some acknowledged the performances of the cast, the film was generally seen as a missed opportunity for director Francis Ford Coppola.

What Reviewers Say

  • Often panned for its uninspired storyline and reliance on cliches.
  • Special effects were considered dated and unconvincing by many.
  • Performances were a highlight for some, but couldn't save the film.

Google audience: Audience reviews indicate disappointment with the film's generic sci-fi horror tropes and a perceived lack of originality. Many felt the movie failed to deliver on its premise, though a small number appreciated the attempt at a darker tone.

Fun Fact
