Earthbound

A spaceship carrying a doomed alien is sent to Earth to prevent a galactic catastrophe. The alien, possessing immense psychic powers, takes refuge in the body of a recently deceased man, much to the dismay of the man's loved ones and the approaching interstellar police. As the alien attempts to understand humanity and its own purpose, it must also contend with the forces hunting it and the growing emotional attachment it forms with the people it has infiltrated.

Earthbound received a largely negative reception from critics upon its release. While some acknowledged the ambitious premise, most found the execution lacking in coherence and special effects.
