The First Purge

In an alternate reality, the New Founding Fathers of America (NFFA) test a sociological experiment allowing all crime, including murder, to be legal for a 12-hour period in a secluded community. The goal is to reduce crime rates for the rest of the year by purging aggressive behaviors. However, when the purge begins, the test subjects do not behave as predicted, and the government's true intentions are revealed.

The First Purge received mixed reviews from critics. While some praised its social commentary and thematic ambition, many found its execution to be formulaic and lacking the inventive thrills of previous installments.
