R.I.P.D.

Boston police detective Nick Cruz is murdered and finds himself in the afterlife, where he's recruited by the Rest in Peace Department (R.I.P.D.). This elite group of ghostly lawmen are tasked with hunting down a dangerous group of souls who have escaped judgment and are hiding on Earth. Cruz is partnered with a grizzled veteran, Roy Pulsipher, and together they must prevent a catastrophe that could destroy the world.

R.I.P.D. was met with overwhelmingly negative reviews from critics, who largely panned its unoriginal plot, uninspired humor, and weak visual effects. Audiences also showed little interest, resulting in a significant box office failure.
