Dennis Doyle is dumped by his pregnant girlfriend, Libby, on their wedding day. Fifteen years later, Libby is engaged to the rich and handsome Whit. Meanwhile, Dennis, still in love with Libby, decides to enter a marathon to prove his love and win her back. He faces challenges from his rival, Whit, and his own lack of fitness.
