Golden Earrings

In 1944 Nazi-occupied Europe, a young English aviator, Major Richard "Dick" Denham, crash-lands behind enemy lines. He is taken in by a Romani queen, Lyda, who promises to help him escape if he can win her hand in marriage by impressing her with his ability to play the balalaika and his singing skills. Their relationship blossoms amidst the danger and intrigue of wartime espionage.
